Why Bamboo?

We chose bamboo not only for it's unbelievable softness but because it is the most environmentally friendly raw material on earth.  It has been used as a resource for many things such as shelter, textiles, food, medicine, musical instruments, the list goes on...

How does Bamboo Grow?

Bamboo grows naturally without any assistance and requires no fertilizers, pesticides or chemicals.  Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world, it grows to it's maximum height in about 3  months and reaches maturity in 3-4 years.  A typical hardwood tree can take 30-50 years to regenerate to their full mass.  Bamboo is actually classified as a topical grass not a tree and some species have been recorded to grow over 1 meter in just 24 hours!! Bamboo doesn't require replanting as it has characteristics like a weed, it spreads rapidly and requires very little water.

Why choose Bamboo for clothing?

Bamboo is one of the world's most environmentally friendly materials and has been used as a natural resource for thousands of years.  It is chemical free which is great for people with eczema, allergies and sensitive skin.  Bamboo fibre wicks moisture away from the body keeping you naturally drier and comfortable.  It's a natural heat regulator keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.  Bamboo is extremely durable, keeping your garment looking great wash after wash.  It has less shrinkage than cotton and is resistant to pilling.  At the end of it's long life your garment is fully biodegradable and compostable!  Bamboo fabric is luxuriously soft and feel like silky cashmere, affordable luxury.
